US gamblers get more opportunities

It is known that the gambling industry in this country develops according to its own laws. However, the public, unwilling to put up with such things, constantly pressured governments in various regions of the country to legalize online gaming. As a result, very soon there will be 38 states in the USA where online sports betting is legalized. In the near future, two of them will join the regions where you can place bets online. These are North Carolina and Vermont. In particular, in North Carolina, 12 bookmakers have received permission to launch mobile and online applications for sports betting fans. The license fee is one million US dollars annually. At the same time, sports betting itself will also be subject to a fairly high tax of 18%. Licenses will be issued in early 2024.

In Vermont, there are also enough people willing to obtain licenses to provide online services, but here the permit will be issued only to some bookmakers. According to preliminary information, there will be from two to six of them. A license in this state will be cheap. Its cost will be 321-500 thousand dollars per year. But the tax on online bets will be higher than in North Carolina and will be 20%. In Vermont, the issuance of permits will begin in September 2023, and players will be able to place the first online bets only in 2024.
