Underground slot machines destroyed!
The fight of law enforcement agencies against the organizers of illegal gambling business continues. Despite regular news about the closure of another underground casino or hall with slot machines, "black" entrepreneurs still open new establishments. This will continue until more severe laws are adopted against persons organizing such illegal business.
Recently, a demonstration action was held in Nizhny Novgorod to destroy about 50 slot machines that were used by two would-be entrepreneurs to provide underground gambling services. According to the Investigative Committee of Russia, the illegal business was organized by two Novgorod residents on Belinsky Street in the basement of one of the buildings.
In April of this year, law enforcement officers shut down an underground gambling establishment in Nizhny Novgorod. Gaming machines and other equipment were confiscated from it. The entrepreneurs were recently tried. After evidence was presented, the court ruled to punish the women who organized the game in the underground hall with machines. One of them was fined 75 thousand rubles, the other - 150 thousand rubles.
The law enforcement press service did not report why this case dragged on for a while and why its investigation took almost six months. All the machines destroyed by the bulldozer cannot be restored.
Let us recall that such crimes in modern Russia occur quite often. Almost every month, underground casinos and gambling halls are discovered, where a certain category of citizens enjoy having fun. Apparently, in the near future, the laws related to the suppression of such activities will be tightened, since the fines that businessmen get off with can be considered meager compared to the profits they receive in a very short period of time. Another way is the legalization of online gambling, which recently occurred in Belarus and literally the other day in Ukraine.
