Contactless solutions in land-based casinos attract most gambling visitors
Omnico Group, a supplier of various software for the gambling industry, notes an increase of 30% in contactless solutions. This is due to the introduction of restrictive measures to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic. Among such solutions is the organization of self-service kiosks in land-based casinos, where you can independently (without the participation of sellers) purchase certain food and drinks. The “Order in Advance” technology has also been developed and is being successfully implemented. As the name suggests, visitors will be able to order drinks and snacks before visiting the casino.
One of Omnico's executives said that during the pandemic, the company's specialists developed modern contactless technologies. We are talking about various mobile applications, smart tickets, etc. Today, when anti-Covid measures have been slightly relaxed, it has become easier to implement innovative solutions. The company hopes that new technologies will be relevant even after the pandemic is completely defeated.
Gambling market analysts have conducted studies that have shown that gambling visitors to land-based casinos are willing to spend the same amount of money as before, visiting their favorite clubs regularly. However, the main condition for this is the availability of contactless options that limit contact with casino staff.
In addition, surveys have shown that at least 35% casino visitors are willing to spend more if they have the opportunity to order some services in advance, via an app. More than 28% will gladly use the services of self-service kiosks. New contactless solutions will significantly reduce queues and crowding in certain areas of gambling establishments. Similar innovative tasks have been set before, but the pandemic situation has accelerated the emergence of modern solutions. According to some analysts, new contactless technologies will work perfectly well even after all restrictions are lifted. This is a new stage in the development of land-based gambling.
