Ukraine legalizes casinos

So, one of the intrigues of recent years has finally been resolved. The new President of Ukraine V. Zelensky, speaking in Turkey, which he visited on an official visit, said that the gambling industry in the country will be legalized. This should have a positive effect on the tourist flow to the Black Sea coast.
First of all, casinos should appear in hotels and motels (for now in 5-star hotels, then in some others). This will significantly increase the influx of tourists not only in the summer, but also in other periods. Zelensky also stated that he wants to see the Turkish side as partners, not competitors. What was meant is not very clear, since casinos are officially prohibited in Turkey.
After this statement, experts and all interested parties concluded that the first legal establishments would appear on the Black Sea coast. It was noted that the President of Ukraine emphasized that gambling establishments would be opened at luxury hotels. Moreover, it was decided to use the experience of similar establishments located in Las Vegas.
In fact, a similar idea (opening casinos at 5-star hotels) has already been voiced before. However, until now, the gambling business was banned in the country. Accordingly, the budget did not receive additional income. As financial experts calculated, the income from gambling can amount to more than 10 billion hryvnias (380 million dollars) per year, which is a serious amount for Ukraine. In addition, these are not all the positive aspects that can be expected after the legalization of gambling. Firstly, the tourist flow should increase. Secondly, many new jobs will appear. Thirdly, underground establishments with unofficial equipment will disappear, that is, fraud in this area will be seriously damaged.
According to Zelensky, he counts on partnership relations with the Turkish side, which will help in the construction of modern buildings. In addition, Türkiye can financially help Ukraine by becoming one of the sponsors of the gambling business in the country.
