Gambling giant Caesars Entertainment to open new casino in Virginia
Caesars Entertainment, one of the five largest gambling management concerns, is planning to build another casino in Danville, Virginia (USA). Anthony Carano, who is the president of Caesars Entertainment, said that his company will become a kind of economic driver for the state of Virginia. After the entertainment facility is put into operation, more than 1,000 jobs with very decent wages will appear in the region. Mr. Carano also thanked the residents of Danville, who entrusted the construction of the entertainment center to his company.
Initially, the project was supposed to cost about 400 million dollars, but during the process of working on its concept, the amount increased to 500 million. Mainly due to the increase in the number of hotel rooms. Initially, it was planned that there would be no more than 300. In addition, they decided to build a swimming pool, a fitness center and a spa. The casino will have about 1,500 slot machines and table games. Caesars Entertainment management plans to open a sportsbook here too. In addition, there will be a conference hall for 2,500 people, the total area of which will be 40,000 square feet.
Alonzo Jones, who is the mayor of Danville, in turn, said that the city council and city hall staff, along with Caesars Entertainment specialists, developed a new project that will ultimately have a positive impact on all residents of the city. Additional tax deductions will be received in the budget, new jobs will appear here, and local businesses (in particular, travel agencies) will be able to find new partners. The opening of the entertainment complex is scheduled for 2023.
