The gambling zone project in Crimea is considered not the most successful

According to some famous architects, the project of the gambling zone, which is going to be opened in Crimea, is not ideal. Moreover, as the well-known architect K. Babeev stated, "the construction of objects in such a form is a big mistake."

Let us recall that at the very end of 2019, a presentation of the revised project related to the construction of the IKRZ "Golden Coast" took place. As many architects claim, this project provides for the construction of a "kitsch parody of real architecture." Some architects went further and called the presented project a "misunderstanding" and even "mediocre."

According to many, the presented project is unsuccessful not only from the point of view of aesthetic perception, but also conceptually. Architects claim that the planned "scale and strange appearance" are capable of causing significant damage to the natural landscape, which today looks truly magnificent.

In addition, K. Babeev believes that such structures will spoil the impressions of tourists from the peninsula and will seriously damage the image of Crimea, which, ultimately, will deal a "powerful blow" to the republic's tourism industry. According to the architect, such projects should be "born" as a result of an architectural competition. This will allow the constructed objects to be harmoniously "fitted" into the natural landscape.

Nevertheless, as the press has learned, the RK Investment Council has already approved the presented construction plan. By the way, its cost is quite high: about three billion rubles. According to the plan, the final implementation of the project should take about three years. At the same time, buildings built during the Soviet era will be demolished. However, this does not frighten the architects, who are more upset about the spoiled natural landscape, which will inevitably happen in the very near future. Naturally, this does not worry the entrepreneurs who are ready to invest serious funds in the new gambling zone in anticipation of future profits.
