Casino "Shambala" opened its doors to players
Another stage of modernization has been completed in the Primorye zone. Let us recall that the construction of 12 entertainment complexes, which include casinos, is planned in Primorsky Krai. Most recently, a second gambling establishment called Shambala was opened here. About 3.5 billion rubles were invested in the project.
The geographical location and transport accessibility make the Primorye gambling zone very attractive to players from Southeast Asia. In particular, from China, where it is possible to play exclusively in Macau. It is expected that tax payments to the regional budget will increase significantly. Today, the already operating Tigre de Cristal casino has replenished the treasury by more than 18 million rubles.
The construction of the Shambhala casino began in 2018 by the CJSC of the same name. According to the company's CEO M. Smolentsev, the successful completion of construction in such a short time frame was possible thanks to the comprehensive support of the Primorye Administration, as well as the agency responsible for tourist flows. In particular, the license for gambling was issued very quickly. The new entertainment complex was designed jointly with foreign partners. The leading role was taken by LLC AHR Studio. Its portfolio includes such famous establishments as Marina Bay Sands (Singapore), The Venetian (Macau) and others.
The plans for the near future include the construction of the second stage of the entertainment complex. In 2022, a hotel (five stars) should be built, which is planned to have 270 luxury and junior suite rooms, as well as a spa area, banquet and conference halls, a restaurant, etc. If we consider the total amount planned to be spent on the construction of all the facilities of the new complex, then we are talking about 8 billion rubles.
According to preliminary estimates, the new casino will attract at least 100,000 tourists to the region in the very near future. Naturally, if the situation with the Covid-19 pandemic does not rapidly worsen. It is expected that thanks to tax deductions, the regional budget will receive an additional 156-160 million rubles.
