Several underground casinos have been liquidated in Russia
The country continues scheduled raids by law enforcement agencies, which are necessary to identify underground gambling establishments. As the public has learned, several underground casinos operating in several cities of the country have recently been closed down. We are talking about Orenburg, Saransk, Ivanovo and Penza.
Law enforcement officials reported on the work they had done, which resulted in the closure of several underground casinos that used illegal software. Not only did the gambling organizers operate illegally, they also deceived visitors who had no chance of beating the unlicensed machines.
In particular, the casino that was liquidated in Penza had been operating for quite a long time, since 2018. One of the city residents rented a basement in the Pervomaysky district. It had unlicensed slots with reprogrammed software installed. Video surveillance with face control was in operation in the basement. Apparently, to prevent police intrusion. According to preliminary data, the organizer of the underground casino received a profit in especially large amounts - more than one million rubles. According to the detainee, his revenue was no more than 2,000 rubles per day. He faces imprisonment for up to two years and a large fine.
An illegal casino was shut down in Ivanovo, in which about 30 slot machines were installed. It was possible to get into the casino only after inspection or on recommendation. The organizers were convicted on August 26. They got off fairly lightly - a fine of 50 thousand rubles and a suspended sentence of one year.
The organizer of an underground casino was detained in Saransk, who is also suspected of murder. The investigation continues. An investigation into the illegal activities of a group of people is underway near Orenburg. An illegal casino operated here for about three years, using modern technologies, in particular, Internet access.
