Nature and Ludomania: How to beat gambling addiction
Japanese scientists from Chiba University after the conducted research came to the conclusion that natural sounds of nature have a positive effect on avid gamblers, reducing the level of stress and addiction to gambling entertainment. Specialists are confident that sound terpaya will reduce the craving of avid ludomaniacs to slot machines and other similar entertainment. After the experiments found that the singing of birds, buzzing insects, etc. significantly affects the reduction of craving for gambling games. At the same time, the level of stress in gamers who hear these sounds is reduced.
Studies conducted for some time have shown that the emergence of gambling addiction is closely related to stress. With the help of gambling entertainment, players try to forget about the stressful situation. As a result, many become addicted to games and cannot cope with this habit. It is known that to get rid of ludomania is very difficult and practically not realistic in the case that the player does not try to limit his stay in the casino on his own. In this regard, any ways that will help in the fight against gambling addiction will be acceptable.
Let's go back to a study conducted by Japanese scientists. It involved 22 men on a voluntary basis. They were all avid ludomaniacs aged 25-60 years. At the beginning of the experiment, the players were divided into two independent groups. Men from the first group were given regular listening to the sounds produced by insects, the second group listened to the sounds of the city, the noise of cars and so on. During listening, various indicators (heart rate, oxygen level, etc.) were monitored using measuring devices.
As a result of rather long experiments, it was found that men from the group that listened to the sounds of nature became more relaxed, their moods improved, and their craving for gambling slightly decreased. Most of them began to experience a sense of peace and comfort. Players from the second group remained as tense as before, there were no positive changes in their emotional state. As a result of the experiment, the Japanese scientists recommended that citizens addicted to the game should be outdoors more often and organize various picnics and outdoor events.
