A citizen is accused of illegally organizing gambling games, which were provided with the use of appropriate equipment outside special areas designated for such entertainment. At the same time, the accused, according to investigators, derived income in particularly large amounts.

Gist of the case

The investigation found that a resident of Noyabrsk, which is not located in a gambling zone, rented several premises where he brought in gambling equipment and organized illegal casinos. At the same time, he attracted a local resident to his illegal activities. Together they made a profit of 70 million rubles in just a few months (from August 2011 to May 2012).

Law enforcement authorities were able to identify and suppress the activities of the criminal couple back in the spring of 2012. Irrefutable evidence of illegal activities (more than 200 machines and other gaming equipment, "black" accounting, etc.) was seized from the premises. Due to the fact that the main defendant and the accused in the case went into hiding in the same 2012, the criminal case against him was suspended. However, 11 years later, in March 2023, he was found in the Penza region, detained and taken to Noyabrsk. By the way, the defendant's partner was read the guilty verdict back in 2013.

Today, by May 2023, all the circumstances of the old case that was reopened have been established. The investigation with all the necessary evidence and indictment has been sent to court. The fugitive is awaiting trial. It is not known whether he is on a recognizance or in a temporary detention center. It is difficult to say what decision will be made by the judge, although according to the law, such cases have a short statute of limitations - only one year.
