Just the other day, the gambling community was shocked by the news of the death of one of its founders, Sergey Karshkov. The gambling entrepreneur died in Switzerland. The details were reported by the businessman's friend P. Muntyatn, who is a foreign agent.

According to him, Karshkov had a serious allergic reaction during one of the medical procedures in a Swiss clinic. Let us recall that the entrepreneur was born in the Kyiv region. Together with friends, he founded the Bryansk company, which was one of the largest bookmakers in the early 2000s.

Due to the businessman's accusations of organizing illegal gambling on the Internet, he hid in Cyprus for several years. In Russia, he has long been wanted. Based on the charges brought by investigators, it follows that the businessman provided illegal gambling services in the Bryansk region for about five years (from 2014 to 2019). At the same time, he managed to earn more than 63 billion rubles. The first sentence against his brainchild, the BC and online casino 1xBet, was announced in 2021. One of the company's employees was sentenced to 3 years in prison and a fine of an impressive 800 thousand rubles (the execution of the sentence was postponed due to the employee's minor child).

Today, the 1xBet license has been revoked in Ukraine, as it falls under the jurisdiction of this country. The state authorities stated some time ago that the company is connected with Russia, and this is unacceptable today. Not everyone knows that the legal branch of 1xBet in the Russian Federation was BC 1xstavka, which has been operating since 2010. It had more than 800 land-based points in Russia, where bets on sports were accepted. Karshkov was only 42 years old.
