New gambling zone to open in Crimea
Russian gamblers and tourists who frequently visit the country will soon receive a great gift. The Russian government, headed by Prime Minister D. Medvedev, has decided to build another gambling zone. Let us recall that today gambling is permitted only in specially designated areas, of which there are catastrophically few for such a huge territory.
The new gambling zone will be located on the southern coast of Crimea, not far from Yalta. Its name is quite predictable – “Golden Coast”. Information about the decision was published on October 28, 2019 on a special website that contains important legal information.
According to preliminary information, a fairly large plot of land has been allocated for the new gambling zone – almost 147 thousand m2. In fact, the Crimean authorities have long been ready to open a gambling zone on the peninsula. Last year, the head of the republic, S. Aksenov, informed the public that a plot of land near the settlement of Katsiveli (a suburb that is part of the so-called Greater Yalta) had already been selected for its construction. At that time, construction was planned to begin, which is scheduled to begin at the end of 2019. The gambling zone should receive its first visitors in 2022.
The entire gambling community took this news positively, as, without a doubt, there are clearly not enough places in the country that gambling gamers can visit. With the ban on online gambling, the Russian entertainment industry found itself in a deplorable state. The decision taken should have a positive effect on the situation. Naturally, it is too early to talk about the full-fledged development of gambling in the Russian Federation.
Only legalization of online games will allow to establish relative order in the industry and avoid the emergence of underground casinos, which appear in different regions of the country with enviable regularity. Official virtual clubs and casinos will allow to decriminalize the industry, which is increasingly turning into another feeding trough for scammers of all stripes.
