Not bad prospects for the gambling industry in the Russian Federation
At the beginning of March this year, the Bookmakers' Forum was held in the capital of the Russian Federation. As part of it, a meeting of individual representatives of the gambling business in the country was held. The main topic of discussion was the serious impact of the gambling business on the tourist development of the industry in different regions of Russia. All participants of the discussion noted that it is the gambling zones today are an important factor in the generation of tourist flows, which has recently increased significantly.
In addition, all interlocutors discussed and agreed that the presence of so-called gambling clusters stimulates the development of related businesses and transportation infrastructure. Dmitry Anfinogenov, who is the Chairman of AIRIS, asked all present to pay attention to the fact that the strategy of gambling business development is a promising direction. According to him, gambling zones are the main factor in the development of the tourism industry in the regions where they are located.
At the same time, D. Anfinogenov noted that game clusters are getting a new direction in development, turning into entertainment complexes of multifunctional type. At the same time, quite a large flow of investments is now directed to the development of non-gaming projects. These are all kinds of amusement parks, theaters, beaches, campuses for personnel in the Primorye gambling zone, new hotels, restaurants, etc. That is, in fact, the gaming cluster becomes a powerful trigger for the development of other areas in different regions of the country.
At the same time, the panelists discussed the topic of attracting foreign tourists to Russian gambling zones. During the pandemic and also after the start of the famous events in February 2022, it decreased significantly. However, today tourists are returning to the Russian Federation. In particular, Sochi is again receiving airplanes with gamblers from Israel, and a representative from Vladivostok said that China has resumed tourist tours of its fellow citizens who wish to spend time in the gambling zone "Primorye".
