Tourists from India are expected at Krasnaya Polyana IKRZ
The news of the Russian gaming industry has been supplemented with interesting information. The administration of the new Krasnaya Polyana IKRZ is betting on tourists from India, provided that additional flights connecting the Russian Federation and Delhi are launched this year. On the Indian side, the intentions to create a new air bridge were spelled out in a memorandum that appeared back in 2019.
According to the plan, the flights will be operated by Ural Airlines. The first flight should be organized this spring. According to the IKRZ administration, the management of Krasnaya Polyana regrets that at the initial stage, it is impossible to organize a direct flight. Air service will be carried out with a transfer in Moscow. However, there is hope that given the interest of the authorities in receiving additional taxes at the expense of Indian players, the issue of direct air service to Sochi will be considered by the Minister of Transport and the Governor of Krasnodar Krai in the near future.
According to statistics, the IKRZ has already been visited by about 20 thousand Indian citizens. The management of Krasnaya Polyana is confident that only direct flights from India to Sochi will contribute to the influx of new guests and increase the profits of the gambling zone at their expense. Also, a representative of the IKRZ stated that Indians spend more time in gaming halls than, for example, tourists from Israel. In this regard, the presence of direct air service with Delhi would be very desirable.
By the way, Indian tourists are frequent guests of Macau gambling establishments. However, with the spread of the new virus and the closure of air traffic between China and India, the opening of direct flights between Sochi and Indian cities would be very useful. This would attract gamblers to Krasnaya Polyana, who are now looking for a replacement for the luxurious establishments of Macau. In turn, the budget of the Krasnodar Territory would receive additional income in the form of tax deductions from the IKRZ.
