Depositing funds and withdrawing winnings from online casinos is becoming more difficult
In fact, revolutionary changes have taken place in the Russian Federation. Russian payment systems have closed the possibility of using their resources to make transactions in favor of online casinos, gaming halls opened on the Internet, and unlicensed bookmakers. At the same time, some experts note that even using a VPN does not help solve the problem, since the systems have completely blocked access to the gambling market. Domestic gamers are left with few options by which they can deposit/withdraw funds on virtual platforms.
Bookmakers started working under new rules
Let us recall that the new procedure for targeted deductions of bookmakers from their activities was changed back in the fall. The relevant amendments were introduced to the State Duma in October. Despite the fact that representatives of the offices appealed to the authorities with requests for clarification regarding the new rules, this was not done. There are still many questions, but the amendments to the law were adopted in their original form and have already entered into force. By the way, in addition to the existing bills, a new one has appeared: bookmakers are prohibited from holding lotteries. The document is already in the Duma and has been approved by the relevant committee.
Gambling zone "Siberian coin" suffers colossal losses
The Altai Territory is counting losses. Compared to the year before last, the total revenue of the tourism cluster for 2020 decreased by 30%. At the same time, a significant contribution to such depressing figures was made by tourists who previously visited the Siberian Coin IKRZ. The gambling sector lost at least 40% in profits due to the COVID-19 pandemic. There is also positive news. So far, not a single organization related to tourism has been liquidated.
Advertising of betting: soon on all consumers' TVs
Very soon, a new bill will be submitted to the State Duma, which provides for the lifting of bans on advertising various totalizators. In particular, we are talking about horse racing. The amendments are being prepared by the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, as they are sure that this type of entertainment can be advertised. They do not understand how the services of bookmakers are better than totalizators, and why such bans do not apply to bookmakers.
