Gamblers in Russia: How many of the country's residents are willing to spend money on gambling?
Recently, one of the recruiting agencies SuperJob conducted an interesting study, which revealed that approximately every eighth active citizen of the country is a gambler. Among gamers, there are more men than women. At the same time, surprisingly, these are mainly people over 45 years old.
The study involved over 2,500 people living in almost 500 cities and towns in Russia. The respondents were selected from the economically active category. Each respondent has a good income. An interesting fact is that only 13% of respondents were ready to agree with the statement that they are gamblers. Of all the citizens surveyed, 15% men admitted to being gamblers. There were fewer women – 11%.
Let us recall that the survey was conducted among adult citizens of the Russian Federation. If we pay attention to the age limit, then there were 15% players over 45, and slightly fewer under 34, only 11%. Most gambling residents of Russia (from those identified during the study) have a fairly high income, which exceeds 80 thousand rubles per month. An interesting fact is that many of the gambling residents of the country realize their passion not only in gambling, but also in other areas. They are more stubborn in achieving goals in work, sports, etc. Simply put, they are interested in everything that is somehow connected with competitions.
Gamblers were distributed by profession as follows: more than 35% work as managers in logistics, almost 30% – in trade. The smallest number of gamblers were among junior medical personnel and office managers. In the near future, a large-scale study with a large number of respondents may be conducted, which will allow obtaining more accurate data.
