Facebook has officially banned gambling ads

Facebook Corporation has announced that it will completely stop posting ads, promotions and promoting online casino pages, including on Instagram.

The social network has become the latest US tech giant to support the mandate of the "Honorable decree of the new Italian coalition government". Facebook noted that the exception would be Italy's national gambling market.

The promotion of the official Italian gambling sector is included in the Decree on Dignity, which could be passed as early as August 10.

European regulator EGBA backed Italian bettors and online casino association LOGICO on July 31 to ban advertising by illegal operators.
