Evolution Gaming leaves Belarus
This provider is well known to all gambling users, who gladly spin the reels of machines developed by the gaming software manufacturer. According to the owners, the company's plans were to create the largest hub in Europe, but it failed for various reasons. The main ones are the uncertainty in political and social stability. As a result, it was decided to wind up business in the republic.
According to one of the executives, the Minsk hub was opened in 2019 in the hope that it would become the largest engineering hub in Europe, but such ambitious plans had to be changed due to the ongoing SWO for more than a year. Although Belarus is not directly involved in it, there are a lot of questions from the business community, as the republic is Russia's main ally. By the end of this year, all projects will be closed, and if it is impossible to do so, they will be moved to other jurisdictions and locations.
The company's employees from among the country's citizens (about 80 people) are offered to relocate to Poland, where a large number of programmers working in other fields have already left. By the way, already today about 170 employees (profiles) of Evolution Gaming were found in the LinkedIn network banned in Russia. At the same time, on the official website of the provider there is an announcement about the search for employees in the office in Warsaw (about 20 people are needed in total).
According to the citizens of Belarus still working in the Minsk office, the company offers to move to Poland at the expense of the employees. No assistance from the company is offered. Yes, the salary in Poland is higher, but due to higher taxes this difference turns out to be insignificant. About 25 people have already been dismissed from the office in Belarus. The remaining ones are still working, but they have to make a decision on leaving for Poland or dismissal. By the way, the company's profit for 2022 amounted to more than 900 million euros. In this regard, it is not clear for what reason the company is not ready to provide material assistance to its employees when they relocate to Poland. Especially if they are valuable personnel.
