A British analytics company conducted a "What Would You Spend Your Jackpot On?" poll of 2,000 adults who gamble.
The survey results showed that the majority of Britons (83%) would not tell their boss about a substantial lottery win and only 8% would admit how much they had won. Almost half (46%) would nevertheless confide information about their winnings to their colleagues, and a third (32%) would agree to tell their close colleagues about the amount they had won.
According to the report, the average Brit would want to win at least 5.4 million GBP before giving up their regular job, and 36% would keep working if they won a significant amount of money.
11%s stated a desire to retrain in another specialty after receiving a large sum of money. Interestingly, 1 in 5, which is 21%, wanted to do so in the digital media industry. Other popular industries that survey participants would like to move into include: film - 18% travel - 16%, music - 14%, sports - 9%, and science - 8%.
